AutoHoot makes starting races simpler

AutoHoot automatically controls the sequence of sound signals used to start sailing races. Aimed as an aid to race officers AutoHoot is extremely easy to operate. Just switch it on at the first signal and the horn sounds, all subsequent signals will then sound automatically on time.

“I took the AutoHoot to Portland Harbour and it performed faultlessly for the Joint Services Windsurfing Championships. I found it so relaxing not to have to constantly check the watch during the start sequence (aware that mistakes mean postponements) that made it so much easier to concentrate on the line, the fleet and the flags.” Mr M G Roach

"It's wonderful! We rely on the AutoHoot to be the one totally undistracted member of the Race team." Nick Colbourne

"I can't tell you much it has transformed our starting procedure." Paul Neve

NEWS: ISAF Publish Racing Rules of Sailing 2005 - 2008

The new rules that come in to affect on 1st January 2005 have now been published on the ISAF web site www.sailing.org One of the differences is that the Race Signal section clearly states that a long sound signal is required when lowering one of the preparatory signals. This removes a possible ambiguity in the rules and reinforces the requirement for a longer sound signal at the one minute. AutoHoot automatically lengthens the one minute signal.

Make starting races easier, get AutoHoot as part of your team now.
