AutoHoot App

Simple and intuitive to use there are two main screens, one is a clear indication of the time during the countdown start sequence. The other screen is a list of recorded times. The time of the start and the times of when the Time or Hoot buttons are pressed are all recorded in the list with the most recent at the top. This is extremely useful and removes a lot of the stress of recording times when there are a number of very close finishers. The times are also recorded to a file for future reference.

AutoHoot App main screens

Using the android device’s Bluetooth capabilities the App can act as a remote control for the new AutoHoot system which can automatically operate a horn and if required light signals for the race start signals. The app uses the start sequence settings programmed into the AutoHoot. When the app is used by itself in demo mode the standard ISAF rule 26 5, 4, 1, Start sequence is used. The time used by the App can be adjusted to synchronize with an external clock or the race officer’s watch if required.
