Race Start Sequence System 1
Following is an example for starting 3 classes at 5 minute intervals using the System 1 of the old 1997 - 2000 rules (RR 26). The first start is scheduled for 10:30 am. Numerals 1, 2 and 3 are used as class flags. The individual columns in the table are used to represent different flag halyards. In this example four halyards are used although three could have been used if class flag 1 is replaced with class flag 3 after the start of class 1.
